Since its inception, the Kenya Union Of Savings and Credit Co-operatives has unwaveringly encouraged the formation and development of sound Savings and Credit Co-operatives. As the umbrella body of SACCOs, the key roles of KUSCCO have been in line with advocacy and representation. In addition and of most importance is the role of KUSCCO is offering financial and technical assistance to the rural and urban middle and low income earners. Currently, some of the greatest challenges facing SACCOs today include competition from commercial banks, under capitalization, Information Technology and loan pricing strategies.
