Education and Training Services

Education and Training is the basis of organisational advancement. We have taken this into account in formulating relevant programmes designed to address issues related to the management of SACCOs in Kenya.

Through this service, KUSCCO offers various programmes, including:
•    Promotion of the education of savings and credit societies’ members in Kenya;
•    Organisation and facilitation of national and regional seminars for SACCO delegates, committee members and staff;
•    Specially tailored courses for SACCO staff and board members;
•    In-house training programmes customised for the specific needs of SACCO committee members and staff;
•    Organisation of important local and international education tours. We have so far successfully organised education tours to the USA, Australia, India, Ireland, Poland, South Africa, Ghana, Israel, Mauritius, Cameroon, Sweden, Tanzania, Uganda,Spain,Gambia and the Seychelles

Methods of Training

Our education and training programmes are delivered by various means, depending on the nature of the training and needs of specific SACCOs and trainees. Some of the methods we use in our education programmes are:

•    Role plays
•    Experiential means
•    Group discussions
•    Handouts
•    Audio-visuals

Resource Personnel

Trainings are conducted by highly qualified and experienced professionals drawn from various relevant organisations and professionals from diverse sectors.

Participation

To participate in our education and training programmes, fees must be paid in full before or during the trainings. The fees include full board accommodation, training materials and certificates. In the case of international tours, the fees will be inclusive of full board accommodation and a return air ticket. Payment is by cheque, payable to KUSCCO Education Services.

Participation in local trainings must be confirmed to KUSCCO’s education department at least 7 days prior to the training/seminar. In case of international tours, confirmation must be made 3 months in advance.
