SACCO Society Limited …………………… Dear Sir/Madam, RE: AUDIT COMMITTEE ORIENTATION COURSE As one of the compliance requirements of the SACCO SOCIETIES ACT No. 14 of 2008 as stipulated in regulation No 57 of the SACCO SOCIETIES (DEPOSIT TAKING SACCO BUSINESS) REGULATIONS 2010, SACCO societies operating front offices are now required to constitute an audit committee within the board. This committee will be expected to amongst others, review the financial conditions of the SACCO society, its internal controls, performance and findings of the internal auditor and to recommend remedial actions at least once in every three months. In order to ensure that the new sub committee fits into the existing organization structure without causing any inter or intra role conflicts in the performance of its duties, KUSCCO limited has planned for an induction course to take the members through the following areas: - Audit and investigation-An overview of the audit function.
- Composition of the audit committee.

Dear Sir/Madam, EDUCATION STUDY VISIT TO INDIA – 22ND – 29TH SEPTEMBER 2010 Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Co-operatives (KUSCCO) Limited is pleased to invite you to participate in the International Education visit to India from Wednesday, 22nd September to Monday, 29th September 2010. India is a fast developing nation that has made strides on issues pertaining to co-operative development right from pre-independence days in the early 1940’s. The main objective of our International Educational tours is to expose Kenya SACCO Leaders and Managers to the governance, leaderships and management practices as experienced in other countries for the benefit of Kenya SACCO Movement. This tour will enable Kenyan Cooperators share their experiences, compare notes, exchange ideas, technologies and perspectives with their Indian counterparts. The Education Study visit shall be appropriate for Committee members and Managers of SACCO Societies. The participation fees shall be Kshs.250,000/- per participant to cover visa fee, air travel, accommodation, meals, official local travel in India.
